Each one of us has something to give and if time is something that we know we can give, whatever the amount of time that we have, sharing that time will make the world a better place for someone.

It will also help us find true meaning, give us a sense of purpose, divert us from our own troubles and bring satisfaction into our lives with feelings of self-worth.

Charity work has an image problem - particularly with men and younger people and we hope to change that ​

How you can join in and help someone out

  • Money Workshop Leader or assistant
  • Budget Planners - home visits 

Money workshop leaders, running daytime or evening 2hr money course sessions currently via ZOOM. Full training and backup will be given, with guides, short videos & references to the guests course handbooks. By the end of the training, you will be fully equipped and confident to deliver a professional interactive, relaxed 2-hour workshop. The role is to empower guests to be able to make their own choices, not the choices we would like them to make.

Money workshop assistants will assist the Money Workshop Leaders to deliver the two hour course sessions. This could include helping to set up the room, setting up the TV and laptop, making sure refreshments are available, interacting with guests in certain tasks within the course. Helping and advising guests on building their budgets and entering data into their budget planner. 


Budget Planners role is to visit people that have requested our help with their current financial situation and to build a trusting relationship with them. Reassuring them of our aims and objectives, delivering compassion, being completely non judgemental, checking all financial documentation in order to help or assist in producing an accurate household budget planner. Assessing the needs of that household and how GiG could possibly be of assistance in improving their financial situation. 

Budget Planner assistants will accompany the Budget Planner and assist on the daytime or evening home visits where an individual has requested help with their current household finances.
