What we do

God's concern with handling money is highlighted with over 2,500 references in the bible and we share his concerns too.

We are here to help financially and socially disadvantaged people. Our services include budgeting, online money workshops, advice and access to a UK bank account and the development of an Interest Free Grant Scheme. We plan to make our grant resources available to low income and struggling families in order for them to take back control of their finances, to tackle their own Poverty Premium and to help them to level their playing field.

We reduce the presence of money problems in peoples lives, shrinking the absorption of worry that robs others of their peace, repairing damaged and strained relationships and improving health issues.

We operate a responsible grant policy and people will be reviewed on an individual basis and assessed against their willingness and capacity to repay the grant through voluntary donations. Those that are unemployed or with poor credit history will not automatically be excluded.

Our introductions are pleasant and friendly. The process:

  1. Referral
  2. Online Zoom Money Workshop
  3. Home visit
  4. Assessment
  5. Outcome
1. Referral
Working closely with local agencies, food banks and other charities, we are able to identify those immediately in need, often people experiencing what can be referred to as a "life shock."  Be it someone thrown into a crisis when a husband leaves the family home through to an unexpected bill or redundancy, an illness or a benefit mix-up or delay.

2.  Zoom Money Workshop
The main focus of the workshop is deeply practical. Our aim is to empower people to take back control and to give them the tools to make informed choices about how they spend their money, rather than having their circumstances dictate their choices. As such, the workshop aims to help people practically and to provide support if they are in difficulty.

3. Home visit
We arrange home visit appointments where we get the joy of meeting you personally in your own homes. There is something very powerful when the same person continually visits the same person, it's called a relationship and that relationship is the foundation that we build upon.

We get to discuss what is going on in your lives, your relationship with money, how you feel about the state of your affairs at the present time and what it is that you could hope to achieve through an ongoing relationship with us. In order to be considered for an interest free grant, an individual/couple must have attended our free online 2hr money workshop hosted through Zoom, completed our in-depth budget planner and fall within our income criteria.

4. Assessment
We are then in a position to see where we can be of help to you and how our resources can be best put to use.
We set aside time to help you to build your budget. Our income and expenditure Budget Planner APP and Budget Planner Spreadsheets calculate everything for you and makes it easy to make any changes to the budget.

Everything becomes clear once you have written it all down. It is only at this point that the puzzle begins to take shape and reveals the full picture. We can then begin to see where possible changes and savings can be made.

We look closely at your current situation to see if or where our resources can be used to improve your financial situation.

4. Outcome/home visit
We may arrange a home visit with you to discuss the outcome of the assessment of your personal situation and if appropriate and responsible, help you with an Interest Free Repayable Grant.
